KABALE –A total of 3423 candidates from primary schools in Kabale district are set to sit for primary leaving Examination tomorrow morning.

The Kabale District Education Officer DEO Mr. Tumwijukye Moses while addressing Xclussiveug reporter on Tuesday a head of uneb exams at Kabale district headquarters on Makanga Hill that the 3423 candidates from the 110 schools in the district, will write their examinations at 98 examination centers in the district.
This year Primary Leaving Examination PLE officially began today on 7 of November 2023 with the briefing of candidates countrywide at the various examination centers.
The candidates will then be writing their examinations tomorrow beginning with Mathematics in the morning and social studies with Religious Education in the afternoon. On Thursday, the candidates will write Integrated Science in the morning and end with English in the afternoon.Moses says that they have deployed, Scouts, Chief Invigilators and Invigilators to supervise the examinations so that the entire process is successful. He adds that deployed well experienced drivers to deliver the exams to different examination centers in order to tackle the problem of late delivery exams.
Tumwijukye has urged school teachers to maintain integrity during the examination process, cautioning against any malpractices that could undermine the fairness of the exams.This warning comes at a time when school headteachers and directors are disrupting candidates due to unpaid school fees.However, Tumwijukye has emphasized that such actions are a clear infringement of section 30 (1) of the UNEB Act 2021 and are considered a crime.
Dr. Dan Odong, the Uganda National Examinations Board UNEB Secretary yesterday said that 749,347 candidates registered for PLE this year.
