The 8th edition of the Nyege Nyege Festival, generously supported by Uganda Waragi, unfolded a vibrant tapestry of cultural, artistic, and musical richness at the banks of the Nile last weekend. Staying true to its cultural roots, the festival showcased traditional performances and featured an entire stage dedicated to preserving and celebrating cultural heritage.
Spread across three conjoined venues, the festival boasted five stages, each offering a distinct experience. From the main stage to the Hakuna Kulala stage, the Smirnoff Fiesta stage, the Uganda Waragi stage, and the Busoga stage, revelers were treated to a diverse range of artistic expressions that distinguished each platform.
The journey through the festival was adorned with a spectacular display of art and crafts leading to the Smirnoff Fiesta and Hakuna Kulala stages, captivating attendees who often paused to acquire a cherished souvenir during the four-day extravaganza.
International and local artists, alongside renowned DJs such as Bugy, Alza, Slick Stuart, Kii, and others, graced the Smirnoff Fiesta Stage, delivering performances that etched lasting memories in the hearts of the audience.

Expressing her thoughts on the festival, Judie Nandekya, Smirnoff Brand Manager at Uganda Breweries Limited, stated, “Smirnoff resonates with the modern and trendy consumer, and we meticulously curated the Smirnoff Fiesta stage to cater to their interests through the language of music.”
Organized by Talent Africa Group and powered by Uganda Waragi, the annual four-day spectacle unfolded at Nyege Wonderland in Jinja, drawing a diverse multitude of revelers from across the globe.
