She encouraged parents to always enroll their children in schools where they are capable of fulfilling their responsibilities as parents by providing them with basic necessities. She also warned parents against selling their properties, reminding them to avoid unnecessary competition with other parents in sending their children to schools that are beyond their means or standards.
Speaking in the same service, Rubanda District LC 5 Chairperson Stephen Kasyaba warned mourners from fighting over properties left behind by the elders, challenging the children of the deceased to stay focused and keep their late father’s properties. He further challenged mourners to shun away from land wrangles that are rampant in the district, stating that most families have broken up due to family instabilities mostly caused by land issues.
