Atlas Da African may be AWOL from the rap game, but his impact is still massive — not just on fans, but on Uganda’s entire hip-hop culture, including fellow rappers.

Eagle-eyed fans now think Navio is copying Atlas’ fashion style.

If we go by photos from Navio’s recent public appearance, the resemblance is hard to miss.

A few days ago, Navio and The Mith launched their joint album ‘GODLVL’ with a listening party. But it wasn’t the music that got people talking. It was their fashion.

Many revellers felt the duo “xeroxed” Atlas’ look from President Museveni’s inauguration party about a month ago.

Clad in a yellow African shirt and traditional stylish hat, Atlas looked the part as he celebrated the president’s victory. Weeks later, Navio and The Mith showed up in almost identical attire.

Fans were quick to spot the uncanny resemblance and were instantly reminded of the long-running musical beef between Atlas and Navio.

For context, in Uganda’s hip-hop scene “beef” between Navio and Atlas refers to lyrical rivalry, not personal animosity. Both rap heavyweights were part of the elite English-rapping generation that shaped the industry.

The tension peaked in the early 2010s during the “Competition is Dead” era. On that massive collab, both MCs threw jabs over who truly held the crown for English hip-hop in Uganda. Atlas, who spent years in Canada, often flexed his international connections.

Meanwhile, Atlas da African has also just released a new song titled, I’m Doing Me- part 3 and is about to drop his new album, NO RETIREMENT 4 A HUSTLER VOL.2.
