The Spinny & Friends Festival has been moved to Kololo Airstrip in Kampala following strong demand for tickets, organisers have announced.

The festival, initially planned for Kingdom Kampala, will take place on Saturday, December 19, 2026.

Organisers announced the venue change on October 2, saying the expected attendance had outgrown the capacity of the original venue.

Tickets went on sale on October 1 and are available through the festival’s official ticketing platform.

South African singer Daliwonga, US-based DJ Akio and DJ Spinny are among the performers confirmed for the festival. Organisers said more artists from Spinny’s network of collaborators will be announced ahead of the event.

The festival is being organised by Mezo Noir Kampala, Spinny Events, Eventix Marketing and NBS.

Unlike a conventional late-night club event, the organisers describe Spinny & Friends as a full-day outdoor experience, with activities beginning in the afternoon and continuing into the evening.

The programme will combine live performances and DJ sets with food and other social activities.

Preparations for the event are already underway, with activation points set up in Kampala, including a ticket and merchandise booth at Mezo Noir.

Promotional banners featuring the confirmed performers have also appeared in several parts of the city.

With the venue change coming less than three months before the festival, organisers are encouraging fans to secure tickets early as preparations continue.
