KABALE –The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna, has urged parents and guardians to guide the newly confirmed Christians in deciding the rightful path of salvation.
Bishop Akanjuna made the call today while preaching in a confirmation service at St. Mark’s Kikungiri COU Archdeaconry in Southern Division of Kabale Municipality, where 106 individuals were confirmed into the Anglican faith.
The prelate noted that the confirmants need support and guidance to overcome the challenges that might lead them into temptation and resultant evil. He encouraged the newly confirmed Christians to avoid temptations that may lure them into sin, and lead them against God’s command and Will, but rather engage in activities and company that draw closer to the Creator.

Citing Matthew 18:21, Bishop Akanjuna asked Christians to always forgive one another, imitating Jesus Christ’s example of the master who had to write off his servant’s huge debt of 10,000 talents.
He warned Christians against being ingrates and unforgiving like that same servant who did not acknowledge the act and objected to forgiving his defaulter that owed him a far less credit.
